This sepia toned black and white image was made in slanting afternoon light at the North Carolina shore. I was drawn to the silhouettes of the father and son fishing in the surf, on the left of the image. The long, horizontal panorama cropping conveys the peace and tranquility of that place where sea and shore meet and then fade into infinity.

Hi, thanks for visiting my pages. I started as an amateur photographer, was captured by the medium, and pursued it professionally. For the last 35 years I’ve worked as a commercial photographer and a filmmaker, but always created personal work at the same time. I’ve been exhibiting my work for many years, in Washington, DC and now in Raleigh, North Carolina. I love water and being by the ocean, and many of my images reflect that passion. I work in both color and black and white, and try to create strong images that have something interesting to say.
